Abba Father

 

Oh loving God!

Oh Heart of my Heart!

I reach into the darkness

for unformed words

to find some new way to write,

to create your face

of unspeakable grace.

Somewhere in what is unknown

within us

we touch the face

of life itself.

Oh night of countless stars,

draw closer to me

and light my way.

Let the name of all names

fall from my lips

and may the face of

my Beloved 

be ever before me.

Brilliant lightning

streaks the sky in all directions

harming no one.

Thunder rumbles like a

deep voice.

Rain chatters against my

window and roof

and then all is silent.

Divine messages

can be embedded in a storm

when A Father hears

his daughter call.
